Leadership Program
for the Experienced

Leadership Program for the Experienced (LEAD) is a general management program for candidates with 48-84 months of full-time pre-MBA work experience. During the first 6 months, participants undergo 2 cross-functional stints across multiple businesses. Each stint is 3 months long. Some participants may also be given the opportunity to undergo stints in many of the Group’s overseas locations. Upon successful completion of 2 stints, participants are placed into a full-time role in a function of their choice with one of the Group’s businesses.

Students pursuing a full-time MBA from select business schools with 48-84 months of pre-MBA work experience are eligible to apply for the LEAD program. We currently hire students from India’s top business schools such as:

IIM Ahmedabad
IIM Bangalore
IIM Calcutta
IIM Lucknow
XLRI Jamshedpur
ISB Hyderabad

We also recruit students from other top business schools based on their exemplary performance in campus competitions/ wildcard rounds or scholastic excellence.

 

Every ABGLP LEAD participant undergoes 6 months of training, which consists of 2 stints of 3 months each across different functions and businesses. Some participants are also given the opportunity to undergo stints in many of the Group's overseas locations.

Year 1 of LEAD

  • Challenging Stints
    Exposure to a variety of businesses and sectors across different geographies.
  • Mentorship from Senior Leaders
    Benefit from the insightful mentorship and guidance provided to you by leaders with exemplary careers both nationally and internationally.
  • Structured Induction
    An induction that gives you the opportunity to meet the Group’s senior most leaders and benefit from their insights and experiences. Furthermore, a chance to interact with the larger ABGLP community and learn first-hand from them.
  • Mid-year Review
    Senior leaders of the Group will conduct a mid-year review of your performance to identify any course corrections required in your career path.
  • Confirmation Review
    An end of year review conducted by the Group’s leadership team. The outcome of this review determines whether candidates will be confirmed as ABGLPs.
  • CSR Immersion
    Spend two weeks giving back to society in rural India, through a tailored and structured CSR exposure with our plant leadership teams.

Year 1 Post Training

Development Assessment Centres ensure that development plans are customised for each participant.

Behavioural and functional learning and development interventions matched to the ABGLP’s corresponding career stage to ensure continuous re-skilling and up-skilling.

Regular career conversations to help us understand your aspirations in order to align them with available career opportunities at the Group. Ideally, moving from one role to the next every couple of years to ensure breadth of experience across different sectors with a corresponding functional depth of experience.
